i moved into my own apartment in may 2011, and it's been glorious. one interesting feature is that my bathroom has a small window that looks out onto the roof of an adjacent building, along with the windows of the building next to that. it's awkward because, like, when i'm taking a shower and need to get naked, i have to make sure that no one's washing dishes in the window directly across from and above me. but i've noticed that the vines (which have always been there, charmingly), have been growing at a very rapid pace during the summer. it's gotten to the point where the windows of that apartment of dishwashing, potential voyeurs are almost completely grown over. it's rather beautiful; when i'm brushing my teeth, i like to look out and see the sun gleaming through the leaves in emerald tones.
