i lived 10 minutes away from venice beach but didn't actually go there till about a month and a half into my california residency. on my second-ever visit, i took my camera and walked around by myself, taking pictures of things i thought were beautiful. this wasn't the part of the beach by the boardwalk, where you can find street performers walking on glass and selling incense and bongs; this was a quieter part, further south, i think. it was a peaceful day.
