watercolor on arches cold press
8" x 15.5"
this piece is part of an abstract watercolor series that my professor said reminded her of a hallmark card. this series was my first attempt at abstract expressionism after a lifetime of realism, thus all the pieces were strictly experimental as i really didn't know what i was doing. the process of creating them was like tie-dying a shirt, pretty much. it was basically adding bright colors to wet fibers and seeing what would happen. i like this piece and the others in the series, though; they were fun to produce and i think they're pleasing to look at, as well, regardless of whether they have a deeper meaning or not.
