i had a fight with my sister in february 2005 and, as per usual, acted very capriciously. i was staying at her house in upstate new york and decided i could no longer take it. so, i hitchhiked to the train station, took a train to grand central, took a cab to chinatown, took a bus to DC and, finally, a cab back to virginia. it was a nine-hour journey. but while i was waiting at the train station, i took some pictures. this is one of them.

if you're into putting meaning into things, you could say that the tracks symbolize the fact that i was "making tracks" at the time (get it? haaa.), and the black & white nature of the photo is indicative of the somber mood. but, really, i just thought the tracks looked cool.
