tokyo rose was a punk rock sushi bar in charlottesville that no longer exists...i guess it was sold a few years ago and is now something else. i only went there a handful of times, mostly because they served alcohol to minors and i was underage at the time, but it was definitely a memorable venue. i remember seeing a transvestite rocker resembling hedwig of hedwig and the angry inch, who was a friend of my friend katie. i imagine the sushi wasn't bad, either, but i can't really recall as i didn't go there for the fish, you know?
