jaison worked at a sandwich shop called take it away that served truly delicious sandwiches on crusty french bread. instead of lettuce, they used cucumbers and alfalfa sprouts; i always got chicken with their house dressing, cucumbers and sprouts and it was amazing. i think i'd even go so far as to say that take it away remains in my list of top five best sandwich places ever—after bel aire café and little john's (also both in charlottesville) and before back door boba (los angeles) and lenny's (manhattan).
