sunday
2003
watercolor on arches cold press
8" x 15.5"
it's a cheesy title for a piece that has a bright red circle that looks like the sun in the middle of it, but actually i do tend to connote sunday with sunshine—and also the smell of clean laundry. when i was a kid, sunday was the day that everyone stayed home and did household activities and watched tv. it was very relaxing and lazy—the way sundays should be. even today, though grown up and having to do my own chores, i associate sunday with laundry and lounging with sunlight streaming through the windows accompanied by a light breeze.
