"i've never been here before—when i was really young, my mom got this picture from a colleague of hers who wanted me to paint it. i painted it in acrylics and the painting now hangs in my parents' living room next to the piano."

well, my parents moved, so the painting no longer hangs by the piano in the living room. actually, they no longer have the piano anymore, either. this painting actually caused me to break a toe once; i was running downstairs with it and stepped in such a way as to cause my big toe to become crushed underfoot. that's pretty much all i think of when i look at the painting now.
