"his body was consecrated to the sole task of sleeping and dreaming."
—jorge luis borges: the circular ruins

i think this piece is pretty self-explanatory once you read the excerpt and description of the assignment in "circular ruins creation". i decided to paint a native american dream catcher as it's believed to catch good dreams and drip them upon your pillow as you sleep. nightmares go through the holes and don't disturb you. i went to the mall and actually bought one of these things so i could paint it. i figured that the man in the story would need some help; i can never dream of the things i want to and i don't know how this man could, but whatever.
